The Global Champions Arabians Tour (GCAT) will conclude its Europe and Middle East season in Prague on 4-6 September. The final, held at Chuchle Aréna, will bring together leading Arabian horses, breeders, and handlers for three days of top-level competition.

The event will determine the GCAT Europe and Middle East Champions, with a total of €5,475,000 in prize money – the largest purse in the history of Arabian horse championships.

Record prize fund
The Prague finale highlights GCAT’s commitment to raising standards in the sport, with €1.41 million awarded across the competition and an additional €3.565 million distributed among the season’s top-ranked participants:

  • Stage prize fund, GCAT Prague Intercup: €1,410,000
    • Qualifying classes: €360,000
    • Championship classes: €1,050,000
  • Championship titles, Top 20 rankings: €3,565,000
    • Male horses: €1,670,000
    • Female horses: €1,670,000
    • Handlers: €225,000
  • Horse of the Tour bonus: €500,000

Current standings
Heading into Prague, the leaders are:

  • Top Female Horse – Shahalel al Shaqab, 137 points
  • Top Male Horse – Berlin MP, 121 points
  • Leading Handler – Glenn Schoukens, 359 points

While these frontrunners hold strong positions, the final stage offers the chance for rankings to shift in a decisive way.

“The Prague finale represents the peak of the GCAT Europe and Middle East season, where the Tour champions will be crowned,” said Bader Al Darwish, CEO of GCAT. “Prague provides the perfect setting to honour the Arabian horse and share its heritage with the world.”

More than a competition
Beyond the arena, the Prague finale will welcome the public with free entry and three days of activities designed for the whole family. Visitors can enjoy a lively fan village, cultural showcases, family-friendly entertainment, exclusive shopping, and luxury hospitality throughout the weekend.

The event will close on September 6 with a ceremony celebrating the champions, featuring live entertainment and a special performance.

Looking ahead
Following Prague, attention turns to Doha for the World Arabian Horse Championship Supreme on 3-6 December, where the GCAT Global Champions will be crowned.
