A rather lovely Photo of the Day today with TheArabianMagazine.Com – the stallion Psyrasic, pictured with Mary Lang.
Psyrasic was bred by Gestut Osterhof in Germany, sired by the great Psytadel (Padrons Psyche x Bint Bey Shah) and out of Karoba (Kubinec x Bookra). Foaled in 2003, Psyrasic had a great show career, including being named Gold European Champion in Verona in 2014. Psyrasic also loved being under saddle – as this image demonstrates, which truly sums up all that an Arabian horse should be. He was latterly owned by Scuderia Groane in Italy. A popular sire, there are many Psyrasic daughters in breeding barns across Europe and the Middle East, all adding to individual breeding programmes.
This image was very nearly the cover of our 2007 performance edition, but was just pipped the post by a gorgeous shot of Chris Yeoman and Eleazar de Landas going through water. Still, this would have been a stunning cover, and we are thrilled to share it with you now – we hope you enjoy it!
