Today’s TheArabianMagazine.Com Photo of the Day is the pure Crabbet stallion, Silvern Idyll.
By Masjid (Bright Shadow x Naxindra) and out of the ethereal Silvern Dream (Silvedoris x Silver Ripple), Silvern Idyll was bred by Rosemary Archer at her famed Worth Stud, and purchased in 1983 as a foal by Frances, Duchess of Rutland. While lightly used, Silvern Idyll is perhaps best remembered as siring Silvern Sceptre (ex Rislina) and Grecian Idyll (ex Grecian Gilt) among others.
This photograph by Gari Dill-Marlow captures one of the most popular Crabbet stallions in the UK in the 1980s in iconic style.
