The Sigi Siller Story

S² International Productions are delighted to announce their principle project for 2024 – The Sigi Siller Story.

Written by S² International Productions founders, Scott Benjamin and Samantha Mattocks, this book is being produced in conjunction with Sigi’s family – daughter Janina Merz and son, Benni Merz.

Sigi Siller

The founder of Om El Arab and the Estopa influence, Sigi was instrumental in creating the golden cross, universally adored around the world today. From greats such as El Shaklan, Sanadik el Shaklan and Om El Shahmaan to Janina’s continuation of the programme today with the $1.55 million dollar filly Om El Erodite, and Om El Maximus, the Om El Arab name is truly cemented in Arabian horse history.

The Sigi Siller Story will look at the lady behind the legend, sharing her story from war-torn Romania to the German Black Forest, and then onto the Santa Ynez Valley, where Sigi embodied the Californian soul so many of us knew and loved.

“My brother and I promised our mother that we would write a book about her,” explains Janina. “We are so excited that this is now coming to fruition with our dear friends, Scott and Samantha. We are delighted to share our extraordinary mother’s life with everyone.”

This will be the first book in S² International Productions’ Arabian Icons series, following the successful launch of the Arabian Legends series last year with Ekstern – Tribute to a King.

“I am truly honoured to be sharing Sigi’s story with Samantha,” says Scott. “I, too, made a promise to Sigi to share her unique and heartfelt story with the world, and this book will truly celebrate all that made this wonderful woman the light that she was.”

This limited edition 400 page hardback coffee table book will be launched at the All Nations’ Cup in Aachen at the end of September. You can pre-order your copy for £95 (exc. p&p) until 31 July. The price will then be £125 (exc. p&p). Order online at www.thearabianmagazineshop.com
