Today’s Photo of the Day is a personal favourite – the wonderful PHA Silvern Risalm.
Bred by Paslow Hall, ‘Ivan’ was owned all his life by Tiffany McCarthy and ridden by Darren Crowe to much success, including British National Champion and Horse of the Year Show Champion. He was sired by Silvern Sceptre (Silvern Idyll x Silver Circlet) and out of Rislina (St John x Palmyra), making Ivan high percentage Crabbet/Old English.
Foaled in 1994, this fairytale grey won countless fans both in-hand and under-saddle. He passed away in July last year at 29 years of age, but his memory will live on forever in those who saw him perform. A wonderful example of the ridden Arabian.
