We are all about Poland this week, so let’s keep that vibe going with today’s TheArabianMagazine.Com Photo of the Day – the incredible Emanda.
From the famed Michalow State Stud ‘E’ line, Emanda was born in 1996 from the very first foal crop of Polish National Champion Ecaho (Pepton x Etruria). Her dam was the incomparable Emanacja (Eukaliptus x Emigracja), a line that remains one of the most revered in Polish breeding to this day.
Emanda was an exceptional show horse, winning titles including at the All Nations’ Cup in Aachen and the World Championships, but being Reserve Polish National Champion every time. The last time Emanda stood as Reserve Polish National Champion Mare was in 2006, when she stool reserve to her much-adored daughter, Emandoria (by Gazal al Shaqab).
Emanda captured so much that we loved about the Polish Arabian – and this image here from Anette Mattsson remains truly iconic. Emanda passed away in 2023, but her legacy will endure forever.
