Our Photo of the Day today shows another from Al Khalediah Stables – the mighty Dakharo.
Foaled in 1999, Dakharo was sired by the wonderful Dakar el Jamaal (Ali Jamaal x Sonoma Lady) and out of FOF Kharolina (Padrons Psyche x Focus Khemille). Bred in the US by Joy Gildersleeve, it was Michael Byatt who recommended to Al Khalediah Stables that Dakharo joined their herd and together, they enjoyed huge success. Dakharo would take titles in the US, Europe and the Middle East – memorably winning the Junior Female World Championship in 2007 as a yearling while Dakharo took the Senior Male title, the only father/daughter winning combination at this level.
Dakharo built up a huge fan club over the years, and he always loved to perform!
