Oh, do we have a beauty for you today in TheArabianMagazine.Com Photo of the Day – a young filly by the name of Athenaa.
Foaled in 2002, Athenaa was sired by Ashhal al Rayyan (Safir x Ansata Majesta) and out of Ass Windi (Gonchar x Saskia RJ). Ass Windi was purchased when in foal with Athenaa by Delyth and Mark Gamlin in the UK and it was there that this remarkable filly was born. After enjoying much success with the Gamlins, Athenaa was sold to Al Khalediah Stables, where she would win titles including Dubai International Arabian Horse Champion Mare and Reserve Senior Female Champion at the inaugural Arabian Breeders’ World Cup in Las Vegas.
Athenaa was a true beauty, and it is wonderful to be able to share a photograph of her here as a young horse.
