Nothing says the Great British Summer like this classic for today’s Photo of the Day – Silvern Sheena dancing in the pouring rain!
Bred by Dave and Jean Peck, Silvern Sheena was purchased by Alicia Bratby as a two-year-old filly and, with rider Emily Cooper, now Constable, they enjoyed much success in the ridden ring. Foaled in 1996, Silvern Sheena was by Silvern Sceptre (Silvern Idyll x Silver Circlet) and out of Crystal Sheen (Crystal Magician x Silver Sheen). As well as competing under saddle, and qualifying for and being placed at the Horse of the Year Show in her novice year, Silvern Sheena took Overall Reserve In-hand Crabbet Champion at the UK Crabbet Show.
