Our TheArabianMagazine.Com Photo of the Day is the incredible Imad.

Bred by Jane Kadri and foaled in 1985, Imad was the first foal of his dam, the legendary Ivory Wings (Silver Blue x Silent Dove). He was out of Golden Cavalier (General Gold x Crystal Gold), making this impressive stallion 99% Crabbet. Spied by Diana Whittome when shown as a foal at the British National Championships in Ascot, Imad went to her beautiful farm in Wales where he lived a long and rich life, as a show horse and sire, notably through his daughter Maiad (ex Myah by Miliataire).

The pinnacle of Imad’s fame came, no doubt, in 2000 when he completed a unique double – Overall British National Champion Ridden Arab and Horse of the Year Show Ridden Arabian of the Year. With nothing left to prove, he was retired from the show-ring and later awarded the WAHO Trophy in 2007.

Imad remains beloved by all those who remember his era, as does Diana who sadly passed away last year. Legends, the both of them.
