Following the success of the inaugural “Retrained Racehorse Day”, which took place at Deauville-La Touques racecourse on Saturday 27th August 2016, Au-Delà Des Pistes is pleased to announce this event will be repeated in 2017 at several racecourses throughout France. Thanks to the support of France Galop as well as Le Lion d’Angers and Craon racecourses, these events will take place during some of France’s most popular race meetings. As for the inaugural edition, ex-racehorses will demonstrate their new skills, whether in three-day eventing, show jumping, polo, dressage or vaulting, and former champions will be paraded in front of the public.   These events aim to promote the versatility of off-the-track thoroughbreds to racegoers as well as industry professionals and equestrian riders. These days will also put the emphasis on the organisations that retrain ex-racehorses for their new careers.
